I purchased Easy VHS to DVD 3 plus today. Put in the disc, began setup, program will not accept the product key. I've tried about 30 times. I found hte support suggestion of copying files from disc to HDD, which I did, and ran setup from there but same results. The product key will not validate.
I got it to validate on this website on my first try. I am using the correct format. I am getting the product key off a sticker that is on the disc sleeve which was inside of the box. There is not a typo in my entry when trying to install the software...
I too have just purchased a Roxio easy vhs to DVD3 plus and keep getting "product not activated" and then a "invalid key code". I tried it on several of my computers and got the same response. I'm planning on taking it back to Best Buy, but if they give me another it sounds like it might do the same thing. What do I do?
I have the same problem. Looks just like the first picture. I ordered this direct, via the website. the phone number shown takes me to corel support. option 2 for tech support is a recording telling you to come to this website. THis was a christmas gift for my son, and when I get to a person based on my order number they cant help with the product key.
Any ideas about how or who to contact? I have read numerous posts to numerous threads about product keys not working, and tried everything listed (there are no O, 0, 1, I, S or 5 in the product key so it shouldnt be a typo. Computer is up to date, tec, etc, etc.
Sorry for repeating the same issue, I have gone through this thread and I do not know how to go forward. Like most people on this thread, I purchased Easy VHS to DVD 3 Plus from Best Buy and I am getting "Product is not Activate". How do I go about activating this product? I have called the technical support numbers and got directed to an email address; is this my only option? Is there a phone number where I could talk to a live person from customer support? Please advice.
When I put the product number in I get the message the software is not activated. I have registered with the website and created an account... what the hell? I called the Roxio numbers and did their chat... they are ready to sell me a product but no one can answer a support question. That's crap, and this will be my last Roxio product. So many companies don't care about support - I will make sure I post about bad customer support by Roxio everywhere I can.
Same issue here with the not activated Product Key. I was able to register the product on the Roxio website but software will not install on my computer because it has not been activated. Any ideas as to what should do?
i just purchased the Easy VHS to DVD3 Plus software from Best Buy and receive same message "product code not activated". This is actually the second one I bought. Experienced this the first time around, returned the software to Best Buy for an exchange, and wouldn't you know, this one is doing the same thing. Does anyone from Roxio/Corel monitor this discussion group and offer some suggestions? Getting response from their tech support is not easy.
In regards to documentation, honestech does an excellent job of providing the user with options. They include an 18-page Quick Start Guide which covers the basics to get you started quickly. In addition to the Quick Start Guide, they include an in-depth 67-page user manual. The Quick Start Guide and User Manual are printed, paper copies, which I prefer as opposed to the electronic, soft copy manuals.
The manufacturer includes a USB cable that is just over 3-feet in length. I think this is too short, since a requirement of the product is that you have your VHS equipment and computer linked, I think a minimum length for the included cable should be 8-feet.
The Audio Recorder function is fairly limited, especially since the audio quality is locked in at 56Kbps. This is way too low to capture your favorite tunes at a good quality. It almost feels like beta software that honestech just threw in to sweeten the pot.
I get the messageverify that you have access to this location&try again ortry to find the instalation package [vcredist.msi ] in afolder from which you can install the productmicrosoft visual c++2005 redistributablei can not install this productthere is something missing on the diskthank yousam
I seem to have had the same problem as Gary on Nov. 25, 2009 Mine went to step 3 of the burn, but then closes out. I solved the problem by saving in the 4.0 version, then opening version 3.0 and doing my burning. Works fine that way. It is an extra step but it does work. I have not located another product that would do the job as easy as the Honestead 4.0 product. I purchased the 3.0 version first, then upgraded to the 4.0 version.
This is where I first noticed problems when I was trying to get this EasyCAP set up on my father's laptop. When I ran the honestech VHS to DVD 3.0 SE software on his laptop, the software didn't detect the EasyCap and it would only allow recording or selecting the use of the laptops web cam.
At this point I considered that the included "honestech VHS to DVD 3.0 SE" software was the culprit and I checked to see if I could use the EasyCAP as a capture source in VLC media player. I still had a black screen in VLC, and with another capture software I tried.
